Darla Rogers was pushed erotically by her lover, Jacob Remington three years ago and ran when it became too much. With him in Special Forces at that time it made it a little easier especially when he was sent out on a mission. Since that time Darla has regretted her actions but figures it is too late now to chance what had happened.
Jacob Remington returned from his mission long ago but never tried to get back with Darla but now they are thrown together again and this time Jacob isn’t willing to let Darla run. Jacob has had time to think about what happened three years ago and he wants to see if maybe this time they can get thing right.
Darla wants to take this second chance with Jacob and see where it might lead. She isn’t going to let her fears rule her this time and she wants to prove to Jacob that she does trust him and wants what he is offering but she is going to have to prove that to him so that he knows this time around she is serious and isn’t going to let anything stand in the way of what they just might be able to have together.
This is great continuation from the first story in this trilogy. The story is fast paced and engrossing and the reader will hate to see the end. Even though this is a short story the author manages to give the back story of the characters so that reader is never lost in the story and never bored with finding out what happened between the characters in the past. This is a worth while story that will have the reader wanting the next story in the trilogy.
I give this one 4-1/2 red roses
