Janey Mackay is finally free of her abusive father. She never thought she would see it happen. Janey feels she now has a chance at the life she has always wanted, which includes Alex Jansen. She feels she has been in love with him forever but knew she could never show any interest or her father would use him to hurt her. Now she just has to get her courage up to try and go after Alex and get what she wants.
Alex Jansen has been waiting for Janey to grow up. He also knows that with her brother and cousins around that he is going to have to be very careful where he steps. With the thoughts he has regarding Janey they would very happily kill him. But Alex knows he is after more from Janey than he has ever wanted with any other woman in his life. He just has to show Janey and her family that he has no intention of letting her go.
Someone has decided that Janey needs to pay for her fathers’ sins. They have decided that she is as guilty as he was. Janey thinks someone is just trying to play a cruel joke but Alex knows it is something more and will do whatever he has too to keep Janey safe. Now it is a race against time to find Janey’s stalker and stop them before they really hurt Janey. As the action heats up so does the romance between Alex and Janey.
This book is as steamy a read as readers have come to expect from Lora Leigh. It has all the romance and action you could want. You get to see Janey coming out of her shell and start to experience life as she has never had the chance to do before. Just as you think you know who is stalking Janey you find out you just might be wrong. This has a great twist ending that keeps you guessing until the very end.
I give this one 4-1/2 red roses
