In The Arms Of Danger

In the Arms of Danger by Jaydyn Chelcee/Eternal Press/ ebook

Lacey Weston is on her latest photographic assignment, outside the small town of Rimrock, Montana. Things are going downhill fast. First she sees a murder, by a man with a badge, and while trying to stay alive she literally runs into the Sheriff of the town, Danger Blackstone. Now if only she could figure out whom she can trust and who she can’t she just might come out of this mess alive. Lacey has the penchant of getting into scrapes but this time she has really stepped into it and dragged the sheriff into it as well.

Danger at first thinks he managed to catch one of the vandals in his small town. Instead he is beginning to think he managed to catch a wildcat. His first good look at Lacey has him thinking things he has no business thinking. When she tells him about the murder at first he isn’t sure if she is telling the truth or if she just imagined it. After she escapes him, Danger has to track her down just in case she is in as much trouble as she says she is.

Lacey gets caught by a flash flood trying to get away from Danger and is rescued by him instead. Realizing that maybe he can be trusted after he saves her from the murderer, who is now hunting her. Lacey starts to tell Danger the truth and Danger understands the threat is real. It is a race to see if they can get to safety before the murderer catches them.

This book is set in modern times but gives you flavors of the old west. It is full of twist and turns that keeps you guessing what the next mishap will be. It is full of action and comedy and the story moves along at a fast pace. It is interesting to see the characters overcome their misunderstandings of each other and learn to trust one each another.

I give this one 4 red roses LW
