Aimil Mengue was enjoying a ride out on her family’s land when she is abducted by a feuding clan which is the very last thing she expected. Being betrothed to someone else should have protected her virtue but it just might not be enough to save her. The last thing Aimil expected was to feel the attraction for her abductor that she feels. What is starting out as simple abduction is getting more complicated by the day and only time will tell if Aimil will be able to hang onto her heart or if the ransom is going to be more costly than she would like.
Parlan MacGuin is the laird of his clan, he is also has a well known reputation for being a fierce fighter and his ability to conqueror the women in the bedroom. Once Parlan sets eyes on Aimil he finds a woman that is far different than most of the women he has known in the past. What starts out as a demand for ransom is quickly turning into something much more. If Parlan isn’t careful this ransom will turn into a blood feud and that is the last thing he wants or needs. Now Parlan is going to have to find a way to get what he wants without it getting bloody.
Someone is determined to keep Parlan and Aimil apart and will stop at nothing to make sure that they are never together. Parlan is going to have to find a way to protect Aimil so that she isn’t hurt by his enemy. Neither Aimil or Parlan saw how quickly their emotions where going to get involved with each other and the only way they will be able to survive and have a future together is make sure Parlan’s enemy is stopped once and for all. If Parlan and Aimil aren’t successful against his enemy than one of them might end up paying with their lives.
This is a story that has a lot of humor that will keep the reader entertained. When you have characters asking each other if they have made a study of all that is impossible you know that you will have a very fun read that will keep you engrossed until the very end. This is another great book by this author that is sure to please her fans and make a few new ones in the process.
I give this one 5 red roses
