Jane Parker has been living a quiet life since the death of her family in a car accident, one that left her gravely injured too. Jane is finally mending both emotionally and physically when she starts having erotic dreams at night about a man that seems to be a vampire. Jane wants to help her sexy vampire but she is not sure if he is real or just a dream. Just as she is convinced that he only exists in her dreams events happen that bring everything Jane has been sure of to a complete halt and show her another world all together.
Nicolai is a vampire that is set on revenge for the death of his parents and his own enslavement. The only one that can help him is Jane but to use her is to bring doom to her. Nicolai might live in a fairy tale world but for a human mortal for Jane things are definitely not the usual fairy tales.
Now Nicolai and Jane are going to have to find a way to survive Nicolai’s enemies so that Nicolai can have the vengeance he craves desperately. Jane is determined to help him no matter what but she isn’t sure just want a human can do in a world of magic but she knows that if she looks hard enough she will find the answer that will help them both and that just might ensure that they both survive what is coming.
This is a wonderful twist on the usual fairy tales. The author takes a well known tale and gives it a twist all her own that makes this one an excellent story to read. The action is fast and furious and will have the reader wishing they had the ability to jump in and help the hero and heroine win the fight of their lives. This is the first book in a four book series that kicks off the series with a bang and will have readers eagerly awaiting the other books in the series.
I give this one 4-1/2 red roses
