There are secrets in his past that he knows would destroy anything that they might possibly have together.

Now Cade and Francesca are in a battle for their lives and those lives of their friends and family. One wrong step could destroy them. The evil is coming and they are going to have to find a way to stop in once and for all. Once they do that they just might have a surprise themselves one in which they find a love that transcends their pasts and gives them a future they never dared imagine.

This brings a wonderful trilogy to a very satisfying end. The way all the stories are woven together gives readers a very enriching reading experience. The conclusion to the stories makes sure there are no loose ends to leave the reader wanting or frustrated. The characters are very well written and will have the reader drawn into the story before they know it. While it is sad to see the end of this series it is still a very well written ending. This is one series readers should give a try.

Damion Browne is a Renegade that is doing everything he can to save the human population. While he is happy for his friends that have found their Lifebonds he never thought he would have one himself. Now he has to help Lara find the truth before it is too late. For Lara’s life is in danger and he knows that while he never expected to have a Lifebond he isn’t about to let anything happen to the one he now has.

Lara is going to have to decide if she can trust Damion because he is the only one that makes her feel safe and seems to be the only port in the storm. Damion knows they need to work together so that they have a chance at coming out of this fight alive because someone is after Lara and Damion is determined that they will have to go through him first before they even have a chance to get close to Lara. As they fight those after them their trust in each other shows them very clearly the only place they will find peace is with each other and that the only place to get the love they want is with each other.

This is a book that once you start reading the story it will not let you go. There are very few books I have read that once I put them down to sleep or do something else I can’t get them out of my mind. This is one story that will haunt you in a very good way after you put it down. This is one that you will hate yourself if you miss. The characters are such that they will get into your mind and they will not let go for any reason. The story is remarkable in that once you are pulled into it you will not want to leave it for any reason. This one is an absolute keeper. Do not miss this remarkable story.

Elfrida knows if they aren’t able to find the brides it might end up being to late to save them from the one that has them.

Magnus is a knight that has fought in the crusades and has the scars to prove it. Now he has been summoned to some villages to help them recover some missing brides. Now he is doing everything to find the three missing brides. First he is going to have to use his wits against the stalker so that Magnus has a chance to find the brides and bring them home. What he doesn’t count on is his reaction to the “fourth” bride that he ends up rescuing before she can be kidnapped also. With his scars and disfigurement he is sure that he will never have a chance at love or ever have a wife but all that changes when he meets Elfrida.

Magnus knows that as soon as Elfrida and he find the missing brides he is going to see about building a future that he suddenly sees as possible now that he has found Elfrida but first they are going to have to out smart the one that has taken the brides. That is proving not to be as easy as he would like but Magnus knows that he needs to help Elfrida find her sister so that they can start on their own future. They will have to find a way to outwit the one behind the kidnappings otherwise the outcome will be very grime.

This is a wonderful twist on Beauty and the Beast. The story unfolds for the reader and draws the reader in as they watch two strong willed people learn to compromise so that they can find the happiness they both want so badly. The paranormal elements in this one make it very interesting and will keep the reader guessing what is going on and what will happen next. For readers that enjoy Beauty and the Beast they will love this one and won’t want to miss it. The author took the original story and made it her own with the twist and turns she gave this tale.

Aylia is also trying to deal with the fact that even though a year has past she still isn’t over Nico Moore, the alpha werewolf that is the leader of the Royal Guard of Werewolves. Knowing that they come from two different worlds doesn’t make it any easier to convince her heart that they don’t’ have a future. Now if she can just get her pendant back from Nico she can move on with her life.

Nico Moore may be an alpha in his world but that doesn’t seem to matter to Aylia since she doesn’t always listen to what he says or do what he feels she should be doing. Being away from her has been hell for the past year and now that he has her back in his life he is determined to protect what is his and make sure that she knows exactly where she belongs which is right by his side. Nico is going to have his work cut out for himself as he made some mistakes in the past with Aylia that he has to make up for.

First they are going to have to take care of the obstacles that are in their path so that they can have the future together they both want so badly. There have been traitors that had to be found and taken care of. Now they just have to be sure they have gotten them all because Aylia paid the price the last time there was a traitor and Nico is determined that this time around she will be completely protected.

This is another wonderful story in the series started with the Vampire Wardens. While this one can be read as a stand alone it is much better when read with the first three books. The characters are well written and the reader will find them easy to relate to and enjoyable. The story moves along quickly and keeps the readers attention very well. This one is a must have.

Roderick Gideon Tremayne tries to help Georgia out when her bag is stolen unfortunately by helping her out he ends up getting hurt and forgetting who he is and anything about his former life. Now he is finding out more about life than he ever knew and seeing things in a completely different way than he has ever seen them before.

Roderick and Georgia are falling for each other but will what they have found together be able to withstand the truth of Roderick’s life when he remembers who he is and the fact that he his father is a Duke. Roderick is going to have to decide just what means the most to him. The love he has found with Georgia or his life that was ruled by society. Now they will find out just what they are made of and what is most important to each other and to themselves.

This is a wonderful twist on the Prince and the Pauper. The story makes 1830 New York City come to life for the reader and gives them a wonderful glimpse into what life was like for the people that had to work for everything they had in life. It also gives the reader a glimpse of what those same people might dream about for a better life. The characters are very human and the reader is completely able to relate to them even though the time period is completely different. This one that is worth getting and will have the reader eagerly turning the pages just to see what the character will be up to next.

Once Rey meets Paola the instant connection he feels with her tells him that there is going to be a lot more between them than just her families business. First though he is going to have to convince her that she needs to go and meet her grandmother.

As soon as Paola gets to the family plantation she knows there is a lot more going on than she was first told. She has to figure out what is going on and find out the truth about the family legacy and if she is up to doing what her grandmother is asking of her. For to do what her grandmother wants is to leave behind the life and career she has spent building. Paola is going to have to decide just what she wants in her life and just what she is willing to give up. Giving up the legacy will also mean losing Rey and she is not sure that is something she really wants to do.

This is a very well written story that gives the readers plenty of twists so that they will hate to put this one down. The world comes alive as the reader learns more and gets more into the story. The words give life to the sights and sounds that the characters see and hear. Part of the story is in the Amazon and reading about the area makes it really come to life and is almost a character by itself. This is one book to pick up and read and as it is a novella it is also a very quick, satisfying read.

Eagan’s job is to protect the innocent so that they don’t get hurt and so they don’t find out about what is really out there.

Della Breit is happy running her little diner and serving her regulars who are like family. Her life is going just fine until the day Eagan walks into her diner and suddenly Della is having a whole love of inappropriate thoughts that would be much better left alone. There is something about Eagan that she just can’t seem to figure out.

This one give a whole new meaning to hot for the holidays. The stories are fun and the characters are wonderful. This one really is heating up the holidays with the vampire in each of these stories that will make the reader want a vampire left under their trees. This one is a great book to read that will help put the reader into the holiday spirit. This one is a must read for the holidays.

Lorcan James is back in Pegasus and while his feelings for Quinn haven’t changed he is still with Jess that one that he originally left town with. Lorcan is dealing with his emotions when it comes to Quinn knowing that even if they are now living in the same town things between them haven’t changed. Lorcan is with Jess and has managed to find a measure of happiness. Now if he can just get his feelings for Quinn under some control he will be even happier in his life.

While Lorcan and Quinn’s feelings for each other may not have changed the fact is now Quinn has caught the attention of Ty Callahan and Lorcan still has Jess in his life. Now Lorcan and Quinn are working on finding their own happiness even if that means that happiness isn’t with each other. Only time will tell if they will be able to find what they are looking for and where that might be.

This story is well written and the reader gets to see the journey each character takes to get where they end up. This is one story that should be read with the first story in this series otherwise the reader will be left feeling they are missing parts of the story. While the first story ends with a happy for now storyline this one closes some of the character’s story line quite nicely. This one may not be for all; but those who read this one won’t be disappointed in the emotional path that the author takes the reader on. Once the reader starts this one they will find it very hard to put down until the very last page.

Troy Brooks is a vampire that was attacked by a werewolf months ago when he and Cassie were working on a mission together. Now he is neither completely vampire nor werewolf but a combination of both. Troy isn’t sure yet what that means for his future since things isn’t looking really good right now. Troy is looking for answers and those answers have brought Cassie back into his life and while he has been fighting his feelings for her he doesn’t think this time around he will succeed in keeping his distance from her.

Troy is determined to get to the bottom of what happened to him but he doesn’t count on his lack of control when it comes to Cassie nor his need to keep her safe from everyone even himself. Cassie is just as determined to find out what happened so that she can help Troy and maybe have a future with him that she has wanted for a long time now. First they are going to have to get to the bottom of what happened before so they can find out what the future might hold for the two of them.

This is an excellent addition to the Vampire Wardens series. This one will have readers trying to figure out just who the bad guys are and what is happening to the characters in this one. This one delivers some great twist and turns that keeps the story moving along quickly and will have the reader hating to put this one down until the very last page. It will also have the reader eagerly awaiting the next story in this series.

Adrianna isn’t so sure she can accept what her life has become once she sets eyes on Grayson. All she knows for sure is that Grayson is going to change her life completely but is it going to be for the better or make her life and wishes worse? Only time will be able to tell her for sure.

Grayson knows there are some men after him he just isn’t sure exactly why they are after him. When he is injured and saved by Adrianna he is thankful and while he is attracted to her he doesn’t want to drag her into all of his problems. Unfortunately just by her saving him she is now involved and he will do everything he can to protect her. Grayson was traveling to find out the answers to his past and to see if he could find out exactly who he was and what happened to his mother and to avenge her death. All he remembers is as a child he was torn from her arms and that is the last time he saw his mother. But will finding those answers bring him peace or will it bring about his death. Grayson figures he will die in the search for answers and he is resigned to that fact or at least until the day he met Adrianna. Now things aren’t as clear as he would like and he is determined to find his answers but to also protect Adrianna as she becomes more and more important to him.

There is an evil hunting Grayson and if he doesn’t find his answers that evil just might come out the winner in the battle that is coming for Grayson. Grayson knows there is more to what is going on than he knows but it will be a race against time to find the answers and to find a way to defeat the evil because it is not just his life at stake anymore, it is Adrianna and a man that has been a friend to Grayson for years. Only time will tell if he will be able to stop the evil from winning.

This is the second book in this series and while it can be read as a stand alone it is much better read as a series as some characters make cameos in this one and the reader will understand the story line better. The characters are very rich in detail and the story takes some great twists and turns that will have the reader turning the pages just to see what is going to happen next and what will be revealed in the next chapter. It also sets the scene for the next book which the reader will be eagerly awaiting to see how things turn out. The common thread tying the books together really makes for some great reading. This is one series worth getting for those that love historicals and suspences. This is one not to miss.

Part of those changes is his new mission and that is to protect Serah from the demons that are now after her. Matthias has secrets though that he would rather Serah never found out but if he isn’t careful that is exactly what will happen. Matthias needs Serah to trust him but when she can send that he is hiding information that makes it hard to earn trust. Matthias is going to have to decide if he can live with Serah knowing the truth about him and if it would help him to protect her better.

Matthias is falling in love with Serah but he is convinced that even though he fights on the right side his past will keep him from Serah as she won’t be able to deal with it or forgive for what he has done in the past but his heart isn’t about to let him leave Serah even if it would be for the best. Serah is not sure what to do with Matthias as much as she denies her attraction for him she is sure that he doesn’t want anything to do with her. With the demon gunning for her Matthias and Serah are finding out that they make a better team than they ever thought possible and if they can survive what is coming they just might be able to figure out what each of them feels for the other.

This story is well written and will keep the reader guessing as to what will happen next with all the action happening. This one will also give the reader a different twist to what they have read about angels and demons and other paranormal characters. This is fresh take on a theme that has been covered by others but with this one it will seem like a completely new type of story. This is one that is worth picking up and reading and will have readers looking for more books by this author.

Lorcan James knew he was loved and accepted at home with his family but he wanted more than he had at home so he decides to walk away and find out more about life. What he didn’t expect to find was desperation to find a job so that he can feed himself and get the money he needs to go back home. Even if by going home he will get the good natured ribbing from his family. That is better than what he is dealing with now at least it was until he meets Quinn Taylor.

Quinn Taylor is doing his best to keep his ranch running and that would be a lot easier if he could get his neighbor to leave him alone and accept that he isn’t going to sell his ranch. The last thing Quinn needs is a complication and that seems that is exactly what he is getting the minute he lays eyes on Lorcan. Quinn has always kept his life private from his friends and neighbors’, figuring it was easier for everyone that way. Now Quinn has to re-evaluate his life and he will need to figure just what is most important to him.

Lorcan is finding in Quinn something he never knew he was looking for but he is not willing to be hidden from everyone in Quinn’s life. He needs and wants more than that. Jess is another hired hand on Quinn’s ranch and he is more than willing to tell the whole world how much he loves Lorcan and how proud he would be to have him in his life. Unlike Quinn who seems more determined to hide his feelings from everyone including himself. Lorcan is going to have to figure out just where his happiness lays. Lorcan is determined that he will not be hidden and that the man that gets his heart is one that will be more than willing to show the world jut how he truly feels.

This is a good story but it doesn’t have the typically happy-ever-after. It has a happy for now ending. It is also the first book in a least a two book set that the ending is picked up in the second book with a break between the ending of the first and the beginning of the second. The characters are well written and will be pulling at the emotions of the readers. All three of the main characters are very sympathetic and will have the reader torn on how they wish for this story to end. While some readers may have problems with the subject matter this is a story that is a very enjoyable read.

Now in paperback, this is the story of James Brandon's life before he met Marianne and the Dashwood sisters. At 18 he is idealistic and filled with plans for his life with Eliza, the girl he loves. However, his father needs an heiress for the estate and the elder brother Harry being a wastrel he determines to marry his ward to Harry
for the sake of the estate. Neither Eliza's feelings or James are allowed to matter and the doomed marriage goes ahead. Devastated, James enters the army and becomes a colonel until both his father and then his brother are dead and the estate is his. Although his search for Eliza is successful she is dying and he takes on the guardianship of her daughter.

The rest of the story is known to millions but this insight into the early years was beautifully done and I found it an enjoyable read. Grange tells her story in a way that is in keeping with Jane Austen's work, but, dare I say it, easier to read and therefore will appeal to some who would not pick up the original.

I did not want to put it down and have nothing but praise for this talented author.

Jake Silver took one look at Alicia and was determined to protect her. Luckily for her Jake is a lot more than he seems and knows how to protect himself and her from whatever threats might come their way. Jake’s instincts are telling him to protect Alicia but when they starting having very real passionate dreams together Jake knows that Alicia is more to him than he first realized and now he will show her how a wolf protects his mate.

With the passion that flairs between Alicia and Jake they are going to have to find a way to take down the bad guys and keep themselves safe while dealing with their attraction for each other. Alicia may not realize at first just how capably Jake is at taking care of them both but she is about to learn just what kind of man Jake truly is.

This is a wonderful continuation to a series that is sure to please reader that love werewolves. The premise of this series really makes it stand out in a genre that has a great many wonderful stories in it. The author has managed to write a series that stays fresh and will keep the reader interested and addicted to the series. This will bring back some characters that readers familiar with this series will recognize and get a chance to visit again. This is one worth reading.

This take Beauty and the Beast and gives it a very unique twist that will make sure the reader never looks that that tale the same again. This story is wonderfully written and very emotionally charged. The reader will hate to put it down for any reason once the start reading this tale. The character come to life for the reader and the reader will get emotionally involved in this one. The trials that the characters have to face make the story line move along quickly and will keep the reader reading until the very end. While this one brings the series to an end the way it ends is very satisfying and will have the reader wishing for more stories by the authors of this series. The whole series is worth getting and reading as readers will not be disappointed in this one.

The plan is easy enough for Taylor who loves to make lists and that is to list the top ten traits she wants in a man. Perfect solution for a computer whiz.

Alex Worth is an injured Army pilot that is trying to get over his injury so that he can go back to the job he loved, flying. While he is home though he is determined to honor his friend by keeping an eye on Taylor, even if that means checking out the men she thinks will be perfect for her. Spending this much time with Taylor is giving Alex a whole different view of her though and he isn’t sure that is such a good thing.

Taylor isn’t sure she will be able to find anyone with the way Alex is acting more like a boyfriend than a protective older brother. The more time they spend together the more she is attracted to him and not getting over her crush at all. The only problem is that he doesn’t even come close to meeting any of the criteria on her list.

This is a wonderful story about just how perfect opposites can be for each other. The storyline is emotional at times and helps the story move along very well. The character are well written and well developed and the reader is completely able to relate to them. The reader is also able to feel what the characters are going through and will be completely engrossed in the story until the very end. And being published by Harlequin the reader is guaranteed a happy-ever-after. This is one book that will be sure to lift the spirits of any that read it. This is worth getting.

Fai is a Mattain, which are like small lion that purr. Fai is thrown into a situation that is completely beyond anything he has known in his life. Fai is going to have to learn quickly if he has a chance to survive even with both Orrin and Hara there to take care of him.

Hara has been a slave for so long that he has begun to forget what his life was like before he became a slave. Things change though when he meets both Orrin and Fai but that might not be enough when he is sent clear across the universe to his new master. Now he is separated from the two people that mean the most to him and he wonders if they will ever have a chance to be together again.

Now the three men are going to have to find a way to survive so that they can be together again and have a future that isn’t dictated by others. Their bond is being tested and none are sure just how strong it is or if it can survive what they are all going through.

This is a good story and different from most. The world building is very interesting and comes to life for the reader as they read. The characters are well written and engaging and interesting. While this story may not be for some it is worth taking a chance to read.

Noah also has a chance to find some answers to what happened six years ago that might give him the closure he so desperately needs so that he can build something lasting with Oscar. Noah is going to find out just how strong his and Oscar’s relationship is and if it can survive the revelations from the past.

This is an excellent book that will take the reader on an emotional roller coaster ride with the characters. The story is very well written and have the reader eagerly turning the pages to find out exactly what happened to Noah in the past and what exactly the truth was. The characters are sympathetic and will get the reader emotionally involved in the story. The story plot is different and well written. This story while is very good it may not be for all readers. This is one that once the reader starts will be very glad they picked it up.

Ellie’s world is suddenly turned upside down and she isn’t sure if she can trust what Uriel is telling her but if she doesn’t she just might not live long enough to have a future with or without Uriel.

This is a story that takes the story of the archangels and gives is a very unique spin that will have the reader hating to put the book down for any reason. This is an excellent start to a new series that starts out with a bang and the action doesn’t stop throughout the book. The characters in this story are sure to remind readers of people they know in their lives. The characters are very believable despite their special abilities. The reader will be eagerly awaiting the next book in this series just to see what will happen next and who will find their mate next and how they will win her over. This is one that is worth checking out.

Otherwise they will not have the promising future that suddenly seems within their grasp.

This is an excellent story that is the first in a trilogy that is sure to please readers of historical stories. The imagery comes to vivid life as the story unfolds and draws the reader in. This is a story that has several twists that will keep the reader guessing as to what will be revealed next. The plot is well written and definitely worth reading. This one will have readers eagerly awaiting the next book in the series.

Faith is not sure what is going on only that something is wrong and she needs to figure out quickly because whatever is happening it is getting stronger and soon she won’t be able to escape it.

Hawke knows there is more going on between Faith and Maxim than he can see. And though Hawke is damaged he is figuring out that he is the only one that can free Faith from Maxim. Now he is going to have to find a way to heal himself so that he can help Faith escape what is coming. Because only together will they be able to fix what is wrong. To do that they will have to embrace the wildness within themselves and surrender to each other.

This is another great story in this series. The stories are much better when read together because while each one has a happily-ever-after the stories are linked together by the story line and the reader might find themselves a little lost with the story line. The premise of the books is very unique and intriguing and will definitely hook the reader on this series. This is one series that shouldn’t be missed.

Werewolf’s, Vampires, and things that go bump in the night…..
In the past few months I’ve been writing werewolves and vampires. But November 1st is THE STORM THAT IS STERLING! YAY! I can’t wait. This is the second book in my Zodius series with Source books. I hope you will grab a copy. I really hope readers will love Sterling as much as I do. That character really is one of my favorites of all I have written.
Then at the end of the month I will be wrapping up THE VAMPIRE WARDENS TRILOGY though there will be more Wardens! November will be Troy’s story who in mind looks so much like Eric. It’s a hard comparison to avoid because Troy was bitten by a werewolf that mysteriously turned his black hair to blonde. There just aren’t many fair haired guys with long hair that are hot like the actor who plays Eric. I hated it when they cut his hair. I loved that long hair! Troy’s story will be late November. At the time I wrote this post I wasn’t happy with the 3rd Wardens cover yet so I’m not going to share it just yet.

Then next up on December 13th will be WICKED WEREWOLF NIGHT which will be a character you meet in Hot Vampire Touch! It will be in the same world as the Wardens and going forward there will be stories with both the Vamps and the Wolves. Three hours later, the bar was closed, but Evan had ensured that Marissa lingered in her seat, a drink in front of her. He wasn’t about to allow her to leave without him, and not just because of the wolf he was certain would have her in his sight. No – there was more to his desire to keep Marissa nearby. Plain and simple, he wanted her, and not just physically, though there was no question, she got him hot and hard. He was, after all, a male, a vampire male, with primal, sexual instincts that had him imagining all kinds of wicked ways to make her scream his name. But what really had him by the balls was not the desire she created in him, but the way she’d made him laugh when he’d have sworn it wasn’t possible. The way she’d made him smile when he was certain he had no reason. The way she’d made him realize how empty a century of hunting had made him and he wanted to know why, and how, a woman he barely knew could do such things. The time for discovery, both in and out of bed, was not now though.
He wiped down the counter, working toward closing up the bar, focused on getting Marissa out of here safely. To ensure the wolf didn’t target her, as he normally did the friends and acquaintances of his victims.

He tossed the rag down, and rounded the bar, eliminating the counter that had separated them all night, to stand beside her, his hand on the back of her stool. She turned to face him, the scent of her teasing his nostrils, his arm creating an intimate enclosure, trapping her between the counter and his body. She was his in that moment and the idea appealed to him far more than it should. One tilt of his head and his teeth could touch that delicate, pale neck. His lips her lips. His body her body.
She glanced up at him, her long, dark lashes fluttering with a combination of uncertainty and desire, her pupils dilated with the effects of the alcohol she’d consumed.
“You really are…tall,” she whispered.

She shivered. “Tall and a smooth talker, I think I should be afraid.” Her palm slid down the bar. “Ouch!” She drew her hand forward, red pooling on her index finger, a splinter of wood sticking out from the red center.
Instant lust fired through Evan as he took the opportunity presented and snatched the splinter away before he drew her finger to his lips. The sweet taste of her blood exploded on his taste buds, filling him with lust, desire — fueling the sexual side of his vampire nature, when he already wanted this woman to the point of white-hot demand. His gums tingled, his recessed cuspids threatening to extend.
His eyes met hers, the scent of her arousal, the taste of her blood, seeping through him with a demand that he claim her, claim satisfaction. Somewhere in the back of the bar a door slammed shut. A stunned look etched her features. “I was right,” she whispered.
His brows dipped, “Rright?”
“When I said I should be afraid of you,” she explained. “Because there is no way that what you just did should not bother me but it…”
He leaned close, sliding his face against hers, his lips near her ear, his mouth far too close to the vein he hungered to puncture — for his own good – most certainly for her own good. And yet, he found himself asking, “Aroused you?”
She drew a breath. “Yes.”
“As it did me,” he assured her, and silently wondered if perhaps it was him that should be afraid of her, for the way she stole his reserve, his caution. His control.
He leaned back, offering her his hand to help her stand. “I won’t bite,” he promised. “Not unless you ask me to.” And damn how he wished she would, how he wanted to convince her she should.
She laughed, nervously. “I’ve never asked a man to bite me in my life,” she said, pressing her palm against his.
He brought her fingers to his lips. “Then I could be the first.”
Her eyes went wide, “To bite me?”
“In the most pleasurable of ways,” he assured her.
She blushed. “I must be drunk,” she said, “because I so believe you. Probably a sign I need to go home.”
“I’ll drive you and take a cab home,” he offered. “Then you’ll have your car tomorrow.”
She considered him a moment. “I should say no.”
“But you’re going to say yes.”

This is a very different werewolf story that has a great twist to it that will have the reader on the edge of their seats. The characters are very well developed and interesting to read and learn more about. This is one that some readers might not enjoy as the subject matter is m/m but it is a very well written story. The story will keep the reader riveted to it as the characters work out their problems to find a way to have a future together. This one is hard to put down once the reader starts reading it.

Kell and Teddie know that the attraction between them could be a distraction that can get them killed if they are not careful but the strength of that attraction isn’t going to go away any time soon either. Now they are in a race to find a place that is safe from those that are after them and if they are not careful a misstep will get them both killed.

This story is part of a series and while the characters from the other stories make an appearance in this one it can still be read as a stand alone. The story is action packed with enough twists to keep it fresh and engrossing. The character have enough flaws to make them believable and will keep the interest of the reader as the characters work their way through their past so that the can have a future together. It is obvious that the author took the time to do research to make this story very believable and entertaining. This one is definitely worth reading.

Braden and Jean will risk everything to stand together and bring down Niall but more importantly to have a chance at what their hearts are telling them and a love that will last a lifetime.

This is a short story that is a great way to take a break and escape to the highlands. The story is quick with enough twists to keep the reader turning the pages until the very end. The characters are well written and come to life for the reader. This is a story that is definitely worth picking up and reading. The reader won’t be disappointed in this one. It is another excellent story from this author.

This is a wonderful twist to Little Red Riding Hood that will have readers looking at that story in a whole new light. This story will be unforgettable and will have the reader sorry to see the end of these characters. The story is fresh and new and makes it a lot of fun to read and see all the twist this story takes. This is the third book in the Royal House of Shadows series and will it can be read as a stand alone it is much better and a fuller story when read with the other books in the series. The whole series takes fairy tales that most reader will recognize and gives them twists that make the reader feel they are reading the stories for the very first time. The series is written by some very talented authors that bring the realm of Elden to life.

Sterling will do anything and everything to keep Becca in his life because he is finding out that he doesn’t have a life without her. Sterling is determined that this time he going to let anything stand in his way to the one person that can make his life complete.

This is the second book in the Zodius series and it lives up to the promise of the first book. The action is fact and non-stop and the story will pull the reader in and won’t let go until the very last page. While this story can be read as a stand alone it is greatly enhanced by the reader first reading the first book in the series. The characters are very believable and will have the reader hoping that everything works out for Sterling and Becca. The attention to detail really brings this story to life for the reader and pulls the reader into the story. The book will also have the reader eagerly awaiting the next one in this series and hating the wait that will ensue. This is one that should be picked up and read.

Halloween stories anyone?

I was never one to pick up themed (Holiday, Valentines, ect…) books before I was asked to participate in a Halloween project. This was a couple of years ago, and I saw it was a way to push myself. Not only was it supposed to be revolving around Halloween in some way, but it also had to be a contemporary setting.

At the time I was very happy writing my historical paranormal. Oh, yes, I had dipped my preverbal toe in the contemporary waters by writing a time travel, but an entire novella? Hmm…

And then there was the fact that it had to involve either werewolves or vampires. I love reading about vampires, but have just never had the desire to write about them, so I chose werewolves.

It was a tough project I had ahead of me, but I dove into it and let my imagination soar. I had a lot of fun writing the novella. There was much more freedom for my heroines than I had in my medieval settings. But I had seen several authors try to switch time periods to disastrous effects so I was more than worried.

Imagine my surprise when this little novella sold and sold and sold. So when the rights came back to me, I snatched them up and set about redoing the cover and expanding the story a couple of thousand words.

The novella isn’t just a paranormal, I added a bit of science fiction in there as well. I blame it on all the Doctor Who and Torchwood episodes I was watching at the time. 

Yet, it seemed to work for the story. A heroine who doesn’t quite fit in and a hero who isn’t from this earth. Together they not only find love, but save the people of Cardiff from a very bad end one Halloween.

Though, I have to admit, there’s no way I’d take any kind of dare into any building that looks even remotely like its haunted. Lol. I’m one of those people who won’t sleep for months after just watching a commercial preview of a horror movie.

And after sleeping in a haunted castle in Scotland – and being touched by said ghost. Twice – I don’t mess around with fate that way.

The characters are written so well that they will have the reader cheering them on and feeling what they are going through throughout the story. This one takes the classic story of good against evil, angel against demon and turns it on its ear. This is story that will have the reader eagerly awaiting the next book in this series.

This story is a wonderful mix of paranormal and sci-fi. It is a quick read but completely worth the time it takes to read this one. The story comes to vivid life and pulls the reader into the story. The reader will be mourning when they finish this one as they will be wanting to read more about the characters. This is great story for readers to pick up to help them to get in the mood for Halloween.

Kelly is determined show Aiden that it is possible to have a future together because she knows she has found someone that she isn’t ready to give up.

This story is sure to have the reader sitting on the edge of their seat as they read it. The reader is never sure what will happen next and the story is fast paced that will keep the reader turning the pages just to see what happens next. The characters are well developed and keep the reader engrossed in the story just to find out more about them. This is the second story in the trilogy and while it can be read as a stand alone it is much better when read with the first book in the trilogy.

This brings the fairy tale Goldilocks and the Three Bears to life in a way that isn’t the same fairy tale from childhood. The twist on this one makes the fairy tale fresh and will have the reader believing they are reading it for the very first time. This is the second story in a series of four books and while it can be read as a stand alone book it is greatly enhanced by reading the first book first. Readers won’t be disappointed in the series up to date and will be eagerly awaiting the next book in the series.

The intrigue in this story makes it a page turner as the reader is never completely sure what will happen next. There are characters in this story that will do anything to make sure that Robert doesn’t get what he is after and in typically royal fashion this makes it an engrossing read. The reader is never completely sure which side each character is on and just who is doing what until the very end. The flow of the story makes it hard to put down once the reader starts reading. The easy flow of telling history and bringing the current setting together makes it easy to follow what is happening and keeps the reader from getting lost while reading the story.

Has ghosts that keep things hopping in this one. The ghosts add humor to this one among other things to the story. The story line is interesting and brings history to life. The ghosts also add a mystery to the story that really moves the plot along.

Kali Sweet is a demon that gives the reader a completely different view of the typical demon. This one has vampires too that make this an interesting story to read. With demons and vampire you can’t go wrong with this one.

Sian is a vampire that has her eyes opened to the world she is living in and one that she didn’t expect at all. She knows she is going to have to act to stop those that she believes are acting in a way that is bad for everyone.

A Bit of a Bite by Cynthia Eden
Sheriff Ava Dushaine seems to suddenly have a problem on her hands and not just in the form of the local werewolf alpha, Julian Kasey. Something is going on between the local humans, werewolves and vampires. Ava just has to try and forget her attraction to Julian to get to the bottom of what is going on.

This is part of the author’s Seven Deadly Sins series that seems to stand on its own quite well. It will also have the reader looking to get the other books in the series to find out more about the characters.

This is a book guaranteed to have a story for everyone. This is paranormal book that covers all the different spectrums of the paranormal world. The stories are short and very fast reads but the reader will not be left wanting. This one is sure to have something for everyone that reads it.

This one has a lot of big name authors writing in this book. It also has a wide range of authors which gives readers a chance to try an author they may have been thinking of trying. It also gives readers a chance to support a worth while cause in that the proceeds go to support the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

This book has it all with ghosts, vampires, demons and shape shifters. The stories are engaging and with them being short they are the perfect way to take a break and enjoy some fun.

It has plenty of action to keep the story line moving along. This is one that is worth picking up and trying as the reader will not be disappointed in the story. This promises to be an excellent series. The start of the series is a great beginning.

Allison isn’t sure about much in her life right now but one thing she is sure of is that with Cade she feels safe. What she doesn’t know is that she might just lose her life by trusting Cade.

Once Cade gets a hold of Allison the last thing he intends to do is kill her. With the chemistry between them blazing out of control the only thing Cade plans on doing is protecting Allison no matter what it takes to keep her safe. Allison’s enemies are getting closer though and soon they are going to be in the fight for their lives and if they aren’t careful the enemy will win.

This story is engrossing and fast. Once the reader starts reading this one they won’t want to put it down until the very last page. This author writes phenomenal paranormals that grabs the reader’s attention and doesn’t let got until the very end. The characters are written in such a way that the reader gets emotionally involved with what the characters are going through in the story. As the reader reads the story comes alive and you hate to leave the world in this one when the story ends. This a short novella that is very much worth picking up and reading.

The mystery seems to deepen the more Joe and Caro look for the truth and nothing is as it seems. Caro is starting to wonder if she getting the truth from anyone or if everyone is more concerned with covering up the truth. If Caro and Joe aren’t careful they just might find out more than they bargained for and someone is intent on keep the truth buried for good.

This is an excellent romantic suspense that will keep the reader on the edge of their seat as they read this one. The story slowly pulls the reader in and before the reader knows it they are hooked and not willing to put this one down until they find out just what is the truth. The twists and turns are brilliantly subtle and will keep the reader guessing as to who is behind everything and just what exactly is going on. This is one to pick and read as the reader will not be disappointed in the end.

Bryony isn’t sure if she truly believes Rafael and his selective memory loss but for her baby’s sake she is willing to give him a chance. What she doesn’t count on is falling in love with Rafael all over again and this time even deeper. She also is seeing difference in the way Rafael is treating her this time around versus the first time around. Now Rafael and Bryony are going to have to find out just what is between them this time around and just what they want from the future. The more Rafael is around Bryony the more he finds that the new him is a much better man and one that is willing to do anything to please Bryony and to keep her this time around. The only question is will the truth when he finally remembers bring them closer together to tear them apart.

This is another excellent book by this author. The characters seem so real that you expect to meet them if you ever go to Texas. The emotions in this one will have the reader hoping that everything will work out for the hero and heroine. The story line moves along quickly the reader will find this one hard to put down once they start. It starts out with a bang and the twist and turns just keep coming. This one is worth getting.

Someone close to Adam is betraying him and if he doesn’t find out fast who he can trust then he just might not be able to win the fight that is headed his way.

This story is amazing and premise behind the story is one that is very different than most paranormals. The characters are well developed and will draw the reader into the story. The world building is excellent and will keep the reader turning the pages to find out what will happen next. This one will take the reader on a roller coaster ride that they will never forget and will mourn when they reach that very last page. This one is worth picking up and reading and if the reader hasn’t read this author before this will hook them on this authors books.

He never expected to have the feelings he has for Marissa and never expected a chance at happiness that suddenly seems to be in his path. Now he is going to have to find a way to make sure the werewolf is stopped so that Marissa will be safe. He is also going to have to find a way to explain his life to Marissa so that she will understand the world she is now a part of.

This is a start of a trilogy that starts out great. This is different type of vampire story that holds it own against the many other vampire stories. The characters are engrossing and the story is fast paced that once the reader starts it they will find it hard to put down. It also will have the reader eagerly awaiting the next story in the trilogy. There is also plenty of action for those readers that enjoy action in their romances. This is worth picking up and reading as the reader won’t be disappointed in this one.

As far as Starro has been taught from birth is that the Star Children are superior to the other races. Though after meeting Ariela he is learning a lot more than he thought possible and is finding that just maybe there is more to life than he has ever known or been taught. Starro is going to have to figure out if he is going to continue to live his life with the new knowledge he has or if he is going to find a different way of living.

A battle is brewing and Ariela and Starro are going to have to figure out just whose side they are on and if they are going to be able to work together to save their people from a tyrant that if he has his way will make everyone on the planet a slave to the Mutants. What neither of them expected is to find a love that just might be the salvation for them both and for their people. A love that just might help them find a way for all of their people to survive the war that is heading their way. And a love that just might change the path they had set for themselves and a love that neither one saw coming.

This is a very good story that would be best read in order with the other books in the series as the stories lead up to each other. The world building is very good and comes to life for the reader as they read each detail that pulls them into another world and lets them live it with the characters. This one is hard to put down once the reader starts as they will want to know what happens next so they will keep turning the pages until the very end.

She has always been an oddity within her family and if she does marry Alexius this is sure to make it so that she will never get acceptance from her family. Tibi is going to have to make some decision quickly or she will never have the future she has always dreamed of.

This story shows a different side to Rome that most books don’t show readers. For those that enjoyed the show Spartacus they are sure to love this story as it is reminiscent of the show. The characters and details of the places in the story are richly written and will have the reader hating to put the book down for any reason. Once the story draws the reader in it doesn’t let go until the very end. The story gives the reader a glimpse of what the times where like at that time and the turmoil that was happening behind the scenes in the political arena. This one is worth giving a chance as the reader will not be disappointed in the least.

Even though this is a short story the author manages to give the back story of the characters so that reader is never lost in the story and never bored with finding out what happened between the characters in the past. This is a worth while story that will have the reader wanting the next story in the trilogy.

Now she has to deal with Gwenvael who seems to see a lot more than most do and she isn’t sure exactly how to deal with him but she is smart and she knows that she will figure out the best way to deal with this latest situation.

Gwenvael has another shock in store for him when Dagmar seems to be completely unaffected by his good looks and the charm that has managed to win over more women than he can remember. That just makes him more determined to find out what is under Dagmar’s robes and behind her spectacles. Gwenvael is suddenly enjoying the challenge that Dagmar is providing him with and Gwenvael is having more fun than he thought was possible. He also just might have found the one woman that has the ability to tame Gwenvael and who just might be his mate. This makes Gwenvael determined to keep Dagmar as his own.

This is another great story by this author. She is always one to read if a reader wants a book guaranteed to make them laugh. Her characters are always a lot of fun to read and get to know. The situations that they find themselves in usually by their own actions are always a blast to read and watch them try and get themselves out of each situation. Some of them can be quite ridiculous and will have the reader eagerly turning the pages just to find out what is going to happen next at any given time. While this is part of a series and the reader would get a lot more back story by reading the whole series it can be read as a stand alone. This is one that is worth picking up and reading.

The characters will have the reader hoping they will be able to find their way to each other and that the characters will have their happy ever after. The story can be read as a stand alone will be greatly enriched by the reader reading the first book in this series first. This is one that is a must read.

As Bill poses as Deanna’s fiancée to draw out the terrorists so that they can stop them from getting what just might be deadly in the wrong hands. The item that Deanna’s mother found that caused her to be kidnapped in the first time. It will be a race against time to get to the discovery before the terrorists do and before they get rid of Deanna’s mother too.

This is a story that has an interesting premise that will draw the reader into the story without letting go. The story is fast paced and comes to life as the reader gets into the story. The story has some wonderful twists that will keep the reader turning the pages. This is one story that the reader will not be disappointed in once they start reading it.

Gavin and Elizabeth are playing a game and if they are not careful they might both lose this one. The attraction between them now that it has been let lose is heating up very quickly and if they are not careful they will both get burned. The new relationship they are suddenly finding themselves in is not going to be easy as there are those that would rather see them fail than for Gavin and Elizabeth to find the happiness they just might have a chance at. Only time is going to tell if they are going to win this game they have found themselves in or if they will face the ultimate loss. If they are not careful their professional relationship will end up blowing up in their faces.

This is another excellent story by this author. The story line is fresh and the story comes alive as each page is turned. The characters are well written and human with all the fallacies that normal people face in real life. Reading as the characters navigate the relationship that they find themselves in is amazing and will keep the reader drawn into the story until the very end. This is part of a series but can be read as a stand alone though the reader would get more of out the story by reading the first one first. This just wets the appetite of the reader so that they will be clamoring for the next one in this series. This is worth picking up and reading.

It also shows the power of love and how sometimes it helps to overcome the things that have gone wrong and even when you think there is no way for things to work out that with a little luck and love things do work out in the end. This is the start of a series that will have the reader eagerly awaiting the next book in the series. This one is worth picking up and reading.

Now Addie suddenly has to learn how to fight demons and to help her men fight Demonikus, demons that her men have never seen or encountered before. Now the three of them are going to have to learn quickly how to work together and to trust each other if they hope to make it out of their fights alive. Addie is going to have to learn to fight as fast as possible or her life will be over before she has a chance to find some happiness with the two most gorgeous men she has ever met. This morning might have started out bad but it is suddenly looking up if she can just stay long enough to really get a chance to enjoy it.

This is a different take on demons that is interesting to read. This is a fast read as it is a short story but it is well worth picking up and reading. This is also the start of a new series for this author and after reading this one will have readers interested in trying other books by this author. This one will also have the reader eagerly awaiting the next book in this series to see just where this series is headed.

What neither Aimery nor Kyndra expect is to have to track the killer to another realm or to face what is waiting for them in that other realm. Neither of them expected the passion that they feel for each other nor the desire that seems to have them completely aware of only each other. Aimery’s life is at stake and the only way Kyndra can save him is to give herself to him and to the love that she has found in her heart for Aimery and him alone. Now they are going to have to find a way to overcome the killer so that they can make it out of this fight alive and just maybe have a future neither of them ever expected to find or ever dreamed of having.

This is a very good short story that is worth reading. The different universe comes alive as the reader reads about it. The world building is fabulous and so engrossing that the reader will find themselves completely captivated by the story and eagerly turning the pages. The world and plants while not what most are used to they are fun to read about. This one is hard to put down once you start reading it as the story is so completely absorbing to read.

The time of the Black Death was terrible for people in England and Europe. Townsend treats this period with honesty and sympathy. Parts of the book are perhaps dark because of the period but there is also a great deal of humour, fun and sensuality in this book, which should delight Townsend’s fans. I found it a thoroughly enjoyable read and the equal of her earlier knight books. This author is one to be followed as she carves a prominent place for herself on the historical list. If you enjoy medieval you must read this, because it is one of the best.

This book completely deserves its five red roses.

Sally Mae has decided that when they start an affair that she is going to throw herself whole heartedly into it and not look back but enjoy every single moment of it while she can.

What Tucker and Sally Mae never counted on was Sally Mae getting pregnant. Now they are going to have to find a way to compromise on what they believe and how they are going to forge a life together. When Tucker’s past comes calling on them they will have to find a way to survive because those after Tucker are playing for keeps and it will take all of Tucker’s considerable skill to keep them both alive.

This is another great story in this series. The characters in the first two books make cameo appearances that give the reader a peak into their lives but the reader also gets to know more about Tucker and the reader will not be disappointed in the least. With this book the story line is fast and action packed and will have the reader eagerly reaching for the next book in the series. As each character’s story unfolds the story line as a whole gets that much better. This is one series worth giving a try.

Thayer Saiturn has no doubt about his skill in battle but after having his heart broken by a woman he isn’t as sure of himself when it comes to women, especially beautiful ones. Thayer’s honor means everything to him so he knows that he will honor his foster-father’s promise that was made many years ago and marry Gytha. Thayer can only hope that she will be able to see the man beneath the scars he has.

Thayer and Gytha are brought together by their marriage but it is their passion for each other that gives them a chance to have a strong happy marriage. First though they will have to find out who is after them and defeat an enemy that hides in the shadows while striking at them when they least expect it. If they don’t find their enemy quickly they may not be able to have the happy life and family they both want to have together.

This is one story that can be read over and over again. The humor in it will have reader laughing at what the character do throughout the story. One of my favorite scenes is when Thayer and Gytha have a misunderstanding and Gytha knows the only way they are going to be able to get past it is for her to get Thayer to tell her what she needs to hear among other things is an apology. She gets that by making Thayer angry because she knows that will loosen his tongue where as nothing else will. Everyone thinks she has lost it but she knows that no matter what Thayer would never hurt her no matter how angry he gets. The way Gytha goes about will have you laughing out loud and when Thayer realize what she has done is funny too. This is one book that is hard to put down once you start reading it.

Tell us a little about yourself

Jen has always lived within twenty miles of where she is now in Northumberland. The only continent she hasn’t visited is South America – and she has no plans to do so! With a degree in English and recently retired from library management, she writes almost every day – sometimes contemporary ghost stories, but more often historical adventures. What do you write?

Historical novels, historical romances and a contemporary romance with ghosts. I have a contract for an e-book called Reluctance to come out next April. It’s what I’d call a Regency story, even though it is set in 1803 about a couple who marry for convenience and then she decides it won’t suffice and tries to make him break his vow of celibacy.

Why do you write?
Because I love doing it. There isn’t another outlet for my imagination that gives me anything like the satisfaction writing does. Imagine being in control of what characters do and say! Giving them what they want, or stopping them from having it. We all indulge in it as children, play-acting and role-playing. Well, now I get to do the same as an adult. If I get my hero in a tricky situation, I can stop and think about how he’s going to get out of it, or what smart crack he’s going to come out with this time.

What are you writing now?
I’m resting, and promoting my latest – the contemporary romance with ghosts. Shadows is set in France. A couple of years ago this was briefly published by Triskelion before they went bankrupt, and the rights were tied up in limbo for over a year. During that time I re-wrote the thing, and added in another 30,000 words, making it much better than it was and then I sold it to another publisher. Finally, it is back out in the world again and looking for readers!

Here’s the blurb: Melissa and Rory met three days ago and already he’s ditched a girlfriend for her. Now he takes her to France on a pre-booked holiday. Once there, she loves the ancient water mill, but is annoyed when he assumes she’ll share the only bed. Opting for the sofa that night, Melissa finds her childhood proclivity for seeing ghosts has returned with a vengeance and she finds it very hard to convince Rory that anything is amiss.

What kind of clothes do you like to wear?

Comfortable trousers and fleeces for when I’m lounging around the house, but I do own some smart clothes. I look fairly respectable when I go out to visit with friends or go into town. I recently bought a striped black and white top in the John Lewis sale, and wore it with black tights to visit friends for dinner. They were amazed at my boldness. ‘But you never wore short skirts when you were young and it was fashionable,’ they cried in disbelief.

‘Well, I am now.’

It doesn’t do to stay in the same rut, does it?

Are you in love? Have you ever been?

I love my husband dearly, and in my younger days before I met him I knew the sudden rushes of adulation and longing that most of us feel at some time or other, usually for a totally unsuitable man. There’s been heartbreak, too.

Do you have a dream lover – and what does he or she look like?

Naturally, I love whichever hero I’m writing about at the time, especially if I’m writing from the heroine’s point of view. He’s usually dark haired, but has been a red-head, but they are always the kind with a strong jaw and a stubborn streak. I don’t have to live with this man, you see, so I can have him as heroic as I like. If he has a fiery temper, I’m never going to suffer from it, as I’m in control of what he does. For a long time I was in love with Jerott Blyth and Francis Crawford in the Lymond series by Dorothy Dunnett. Sometimes I think I still am!

What kind of comfort food do you like best?
Oh, I have a long list. Sometimes it’s chocolate. Sometimes it’s scones, my own home-made fruit scones fresh from the oven. Garlic bread, Magnums, white wine, red wine, Kettle crisps with balsamic vinegar. Crisp Cox’s apples. Raisins. Toast with a scraping of butter and Marmite. The list is endless.

What makes you laugh? Cry?

Malapropisms. Inadvertent humour, usually. The kind where someone says the wrong thing, or trips over their own feet. The scene in Only Fools and Horses when Del leans on the counter that isn’t there. Doc Martin is a hoot and I can’t wait for the new series. I’ve watched the previous episodes until I know the dialogue off by heart.

Anything to do with animals can have me weeping. Don’t go there.

What do you do to amuse yourself when not working?
Do some gardening. Walk in the glorious Northumberland countryside, taking photographs and putting them on my blog. Reading, when I can find something that interests me. I enjoy Sarah Dunant, Nora Roberts, C J Sansom and Jude Morgan. Meeting like-minded friends for chats and meals. Skiing once or twice a year, spending part of the summer in France, and at this precise moment, acting as general apprentice-cum-dogsbody to all the DIY-ery work going on chez Black. It will all be worth it when we have a brand new bathroom.

What is it in a man or woman that turns you on? The clean version please!
Haven’t a clue. Women don’t turn me on, but I like looking at them as objects of beauty in the same way as I’d admire a painting or a statute. With men, it’s much more a matter of personal attraction. Do I like the way he moves, does his voice catch my attention, does he look healthy? Good health and fitness is a major thing. Clear skin, bright eyes, quick reactions - the same thing you’d look for in a healthy animal! But those are the things that attract from across a room, or a field, for that matter. The other attributes come later – is he kind, has he got a sense of humour, do we share any interests, do we actually like each other?

What do you hate about life?

That there’s so much misery and poverty, that people can seem a blight on the world when they cover it in smoke, oil and pollutants, when rivers are too dirty for fish and that soon we’ll have eaten every living creature in the belief that only we have the right to live.

What do you hope to achieve in life and when will you know that you have been a success?

My goals are small in the scale of things. I’d like an agent, and a publisher, please, and an audience who likes my writing. I’m not asking to be the next Gabaldon or Gregory, though that might be nice, but I’m happy as I am and I’ll keep on trying.

What are you going to write next?

I’ve recently finished the second volume of his trilogy, so far unpublished. It is set in 1543 in northern England. Matho is on a learning curve in his new profession as courier between the English Lord Wharton and the Scots Queen Dowager, Mary of Guise. Very soon he’s going to take her letters to France, and gets impatient when she asks him if he speaks French. ‘It canna be that hard to learn, surely,’ he snaps. Little does he know!

This is one book that is in a class all by itself. The story line will have readers laughing with all the antics going on in this one. The action is fun and the situations that Ginny finds herself in are hilarious. This one really stands out with the story line about the family of assassins. This is one that once you read it you will want to read the other books in this series and it also a story that won’t be soon forgotten.

As Zane and Jiri get to know each other more they find they want more than just master and pet with each other. They are also finding out just how much ignoring what they feel for each other and not being honest about it can cost them when the deadly Night Dwellers attack. If they aren’t careful they just might lose each other to the Night Dwellers.

This story is a futuristic one that has a very interesting premise in that the end of the world came by disease. The characters are well developed and interesting to read about and to find out more about them. The secondary characters help move the story line along and makes sure the story never bogs now in to much detail. This is one that isn’t for everyone but is very much worth trying.

Everyday that Hunter and Tessa are together brings them closer and closer and the attraction between them is beginning to burn out of control. Hunter doesn’t see a way for them to be together unless Tessa is willing to become one of them otherwise he will have to leave her for good once he settles the trouble that is plaguing Tessa.

Someone is after Tessa and right now the only thing standing between Tessa and the one that is after her is Hunter. Now Hunter and Tessa have to figure out just what is going on before someone ends up hurt. They also have to try and find out if the trouble with her brother has anything to do with what is happening with Tessa or are they facing different foes?

This is the third book in a very good series. The author has done a great job of world building with her werewolf world. This one has a great mystery that will have the reader turning the pages just to try and figure out who is doing what. Add in the chemistry between the hero and heroine and you have an absolute winner with this story. All the different threads that weave this story together come together very nicely at the end with everything explained so that the reader doesn’t feel like there are any lose ends to the story.

Seth is sure that Lily is his to take care of and protect. What he didn’t see coming is that his brothers Michael and Dillon would feel the same way.

The brothers never expected to take the same path as their parents with the unconventional notion of three men and one woman but it looks like that if they want to have Lily that is exactly what they are going to have to do. Now they are going to have to rearrange their lives so that they can have the happiness they all want even if it is in a way they never saw coming. First the brothers are going to have to help Lily with her past so that they can have a future that is full of the happiness that their parents have had.

This is another excellent book from this author. Maya Banks is very good at writing emotional stories that keep the reader completely immersed in the story and that won’t let them go until the very last page. This is the second book in the Colter Legacy and while it can be read as a stand alone it adds so much more to the story when it is read with the first book in this series. This is one that most reader will find is a complete keeper and will want to go back and re-read again and again.

While their nights are filled with a passion neither ever imagined possible their days are filled with finding the truth so that they will have a chance at a future together. Someone is after them and if they don’t find out whom, then their friends will also pay the price because the one after them has a lot of power and a way of getting those Lucas and Amy care about.

The story line in this one is very different from other paranormals and is one that once you start reading you will get lost in the story until the very last page. All the different characters that surround the hero and heroine have a different psychic ability that when they use their abilities together make them stronger than those that are after them. This story doesn’t slow down for a moment even when it is giving the back story for the different characters. This is the first book in a series that if the stories keep going along this line will be an amazing series that will have the reader clamoring for the next book in the series. This is one worth trying.

Tell us a little about yourself
1. I was born and raised in California, but moved to Alaska in 1990 with my 3 month old infant and lived there nearly twenty years. While there, I did an array of jobs: Bartender, commercial fisherman, dental assistant, and tour guide. I found and married my prince charming in 1995 and we are still happily married today. I earned my AA and BA degree in Anthropology from UAA and spent 4 years in college collections and 6 weeks in the field along the Kenai Peninsula. In 2008, after my son graduated high school and went into the USAF, my husband and I moved to Nevada and I began to write full-time.

What do you write?
1. I write anything to do with the Paranormal and all things romance. My debut novel: Goddess Cottage was released on April 21st of this year on all Ebook formats. It has been doing quite well, and I’m very happy that I braved the waters of self-publishing to get it out there.
2. I am venturing into YA Steampunk Romance trilogy this Fall and I am very excited about that.
Why do you write?

1. I write because the stories inside of me are my way of dealing with things I wish I could make happen in real life. If I see a young woman, devastated by a broken marriage, I’ll think up an idea about what could’ve happened to her if she moved into a haunted house and began a new life with a ghost as a companion.
2. Things like that always fascinate me, when it comes to human nature. I want to take care of everyone, write all the happy endings, but make them believable.
3. Also, I truly feel that there is more to life when we die, and that creates my desire to write about the paranormal and the supernatural.

What are you writing now?
1. I am finishing the edits and the cover proofs for my second Paranormal Romance: The Witch Ball. It is about a young woman who buys and sells antiques. She buys a child’s trunk from the Victorian era, and inside, she finds a witch ball. The item is a historical piece, which in the past was hung next to the fireplace and it was believed that if a witch came down the chimney, she would see her reflection and be trapped inside. In the story, the woman traces the ball’s history and breaks a chain of entrapment caused by a family of greedy men, by solving the mystery of the woman trapped inside. And, since it is a romance, first and foremost, the woman falls in love with the man that helps her throughout the story. It’s a fun story for me, because I used a setting that I grew up in around the El Dorado County in California.

What kind of clothes do you like to wear?
1. I love all things Victorian era, and Steampunk. The white gloves, the bustles and corsets and of course the shoes. I think if I had to choose a woman’s style that I can relate to; it would be Bette Davis in (Now Voyager) the movie. Fantastic hats, linen suits and pumps.
2. Today, I wear a lot of pumps and dresses and slacks with crisp line blouses. I am not a jeans type of gal and I absolutely will not follow trends that are too young for my age.

Are you in love? Have you ever been?
1. I am so in love with my Husband. But, seriously, it took some time. I doubt more and more, as I grow older, that I truly ever loved before this. We spent a year together, then married and fought to remain together for the past 16 years. It was tough, but worth every tear and all the memories. He isn’t just my soul-mate, but he is my companion and friend. It did take us a long time to get to this point.

Do you have a dream lover – and what does he or she look like?
1. Nope. I’m a very content and happy woman with my spouse. But, we work at it. We keep things spicy and fresh. We date a lot more now, then when we were courting. It’s crazy good. In fact, I just planned our first cruise together and we giggle about it like teens when we discuss how much fun we’re going to have. It doesn’t set sail until November.

What kind of comfort food do you like best?
1. My favourite thing to eat is nachos. I mean the very bad for you, yellow cheese and tons of hot peppers and onions over big corn chips. However, I’m curbing that, since I’m hitting the mid-forties.
2. I have a new blender and make a lot of fruit juice drinks and eat a lot of yogurt and cereals. I’m not big on red meat, but I love all seafood and chicken. Oh, and soups.
3. Also, as a side note, I may be crazy here for admitting this, but I don’t like eating out in restaurants. I like home cooked meals, and light dishes without the noise and dirty silverware. I’ll take a picnic or BBQ any- day, over a gourmet meal.

What makes you laugh? Cry?
1. I cry terribly when I witness TV commercials about starving children and homeless people. I grew up middle-class, so I’ve never really had that in my life, but it makes an impact on me in so many ways.
2. My husband and I have sponsored three children from Child Network groups in Africa, and we put one young girl all the way through college to become a teacher. I believe it is everyone’s job to educate, feed and care for all humans.
3. But, what makes me laugh is my family. I have two sister and two brothers. I am the second child, of a hilarious group of siblings ages 44-27 (all of us have the same parents) and our parents are still married. We always get together from our different corners of the world and make each other smile. We use SKYPE a lot and Facebook and the telephone. In fact, next week, one of my sister’s and I are spending a day in Disneyland, without anyone else, just to act like kids again. I love doing things like that.

What do you do to amuse yourself when not working?
1. I love to read, find new authors to chat with on Twitter and Facebook and I am a big fan of TCM movie channel. I fell in love with old classic films a long time ago and have never looked back. My favourite stars are: Humphrey Bogart, Errol Flynn, Bette Davis, Boris Karloff, Vincent Price & Robert Young. Horror films are my all-time favourite.
Also, I love to take day trips to places I can drive to and explore any museum, cave or haunted mansion available. I have spent the night in many acclaimed “haunted” houses and hotels. It’s a passion of mine.

What is it in a man or woman that turns you on? The clean version please!
1. The voice gets me every single time. I was born with a hearing problem and my parents didn’t realize it until I was nearly 5. I had my adenoids removed and tubes inserted, so I think sound is a major part of my senses. I can hear a voice, without seeing the face and know it if I’ve heard it before. So, in a relationship, I am most turned on by the timber and lilt of my husband’s voice. His is very deep, and I tease him that he sounds like an announcer on TV, but it’s sexy.

What do you hate about life?
1. Watching the demise of the planet and human compassion. I believe that Utopia is simply best described as a world where everyone is cared for, and materialism isn’t a factor.
What do you hope to achieve in life and when will you know that you have been a success?
1. I believe I’m a success at being a mother, grandmother, wife, sister, daughter and friend. Therefore, I consider myself pretty damn successful. I just strive to help out my fellow man, in any way I can. I donate a lot, here and there. I inspire when I can, and I always give off a positive vibe.
What are you going to write next?
1. I have a third Paranormal Romance I am fleshing out that is slated toward an Alaskan Native theme. It is about a fictional ritual that a tribe of reclusive natives continue today, using a single tourist as a sacrifice each year. I am pulling out all the stops, as far as my Anthropological skills go, and I am making the story as real as it can be, in a present day setting. It will be scary, but ultimately a romance.
2. After that, I am working into the Fall on the YA Trilogy with a Steampunk theme, as I’ve said before. It is my pet project, and one that I have been working on whenever I can. I really love the story, the characters and the concept I’ve been plotting.

Hayden is a very attractive man with a problem. If he doesn't get what he needs from the Ivory witches he may go wild and then his tribe will be lost. Raven is a beautiful princess, descended from a line of werewolves and vampires - a powerful race who lost out to the Ivory witches. If Raven takes the power back the world may slide into chaos.

This is a wonderful mixture of healing and falling in love with enough violence to make it different to many books of this kind. If you enjoy witches and werewolves you will love this. My copy had some typing mistakes but the author assures me that this has been changed and it is now perfect copy. A well edited version of this book is well worth the bouquet of red roses I am awarding it. I enjoyed it very much and this author should go far.

Pickett knows she can help Jax but he will have to be willing to make some changes in his life if he wants a chance to help his son and be more involved in his son’s life now that his son only has one parent left. When Jax gets stranded with his son Tyler in a hurricane Pickett takes them in even though she feels it isn’t the best idea to do so. It also gives Pickett perfect opportunity to show Jax just what he needs to know to help his son who is a scared and lonely little boy. Together Pickett and Jax learn more than they bargained for when an outing turns deadly and Pickett learns first hand exactly what being a SEAL is and Jax learns that sometimes the toughest SEAL needs some help.

This is a great story with a very hot hero that is a SEAL. For those that enjoy books with the hero showing the best of the military this is one to try. The story is well written and shows the steps Jax has to go through to get to the place he wants to be with his son. Pickett is a strong heroine that never felt that way until she met Jax and watching the transformation she goes through in the story is at times emotional but ultimately very rewarding. The characters are believable and the story line is very engrossing and worth the time it takes to read.

The author wove a story that will take the reader into the twisted mind of a serial killer and have the reader trying to find out just who the killer is and where they will strike next. The suspense and action in this one makes it one book that is very hard to put down as the reader will want to read to the end to find out just who the killer is. The author does a great job of leading the reader on a path that the reader is never sure exactly where it is leading. The ending is amazing and the suspense doesn’t stop until the very end.

Now Shade and Runa need to fight for their lives and their hearts if they have any hope of surviving the madman that is now after them. It is going to take everything they have to find a way out of the mess they have suddenly found themselves in. Runa is going to find out just how strong she has finally become both physically and mentally. Shade is going to find out just what is most important to him and he will have to try and find a way to overcome his curse if he hopes to have the future he suddenly wants to have with this new Runa.

This one is one hard to put down once the reader starts it. The world building begun in the first book in this series takes on more detail with this second book. The characters have even more depth as their stories really start to unfold as the series moves along. This story also delivers some really good twists to the overall story that makes the book move right along as you read the story. This is one not to miss.

Josh McGreggor is about to start a brand new job and he has decided that before he does he is going to have one night to have fun. When he sets eyes on Mad he can’t believe his luck in finding someone so very hot and sexy. It looks like Josh is going to get his wish for having a night of fun before he starts his intense new job.

Mad and Josh are quickly finding out one night together is not going to be enough for either of them. Now they need to find a way to be together so that they can see if they have a future together but with their jobs that may not be as easy as they would like. Only time will tell if they will be able to make it together or if they will end up alone.

This is a wonderfully written emotional story but it also one that is not for everyone. Reading about the characters past and watching the struggle with it so they can find a way past it and find the future they both want so very much together is emotionally wrenching. It also shows how they got to be where they are now and how much but Mad and Josh appreciate what they have managed to find together.

Gabe is starting to remember what he forgot and that is making him a target for those that don’t want him to remember. With every memory Gabe recovers the more danger he is in. There is government treachery going on and if he isn’t careful he just might end up dead the way he was originally declared. Now Helen and Gabe are in danger and it is also jeopardizing their second chance at love and a future together.

This is great suspense story as it takes the reader on several twists and turns that will have the reader eagerly turning the page just to see what will happen next. The characters are very well developed and engaging to the story line. The story is written in a way that is guaranteed to have the reader emotionally evolved as Gabe works to recover his memories and to hang on to the new found love he has found with Helen. The story has plenty of action that keep the story moving at a fast pace. This is the first book in the story that will have readers wanting to read the rest of the stories just to find out more about the secondary characters and if they will find the love that Gabe and Helen were able to find.

What Jake never expected was to be able to have both Leyland and Lucas. Now that he finds out that they are all mates he has to readjust his thinking and figure out just how this is going to work. Of course Jake is fast finding out that Leyland is anything but docile and he is going to have his hands full but luckily it looks like he will be able to get help from Lucas.

Lucas was happy to find out that Jake had a mate but devastated to find out that he was going to lose Jake to someone else. Now he finds that he is attracted to Jake’s mate not realizing at first that Leyland is also his mate. Jake and Lucas are going to have to work fast to convince Leyland that though Jake and he might love each other and have for years that doesn’t mean that they don’t have enough love for Leyland too. Leyland is fast becoming very important to Jake and Lucas and they will have to convince Leyland of that or they just might lose the best thing to ever happen to the two of them.

This takes the story of werewolves and puts a very nice twist on it to make new and fresh and different from the usual story. The emotions between the characters are very intense and will keep the reader riveted to the story. This is the beginning of a series that starts out fantastically and will keep the reader interested in this series. For some readers this might not be the series for them but for those that enjoy these kinds of books this is one to check out.

Marcella has always had very good instincts and even though they are screaming at her to trust Diego she must be careful because she has never felt this way about anyone and she doesn’t want to trust her feelings and find out too late that she made the wrong decision.

Diego Montez is racing to save Marcella because she is also the key to help defeat the super soldiers. First he has to convince her to trust him and that he means her no harm. What Diego never expected was to find out that Marcella is his mate. Now he has to deal with his overwhelming instinct to make Marcella his right now but if he doesn’t he will be too distracted to protect her the way his instincts insist on. Diego knows that time is quickly running out for them to have much in the way of choices so he is going to have to talk fast and show Marcella that he means her no harm. One of the ways he will be able to get Marcella to trust him is to let her heal the child she has come to heal but they will have to be careful that the enemies hunting them both doesn’t find them first.

Diego is fast finding that Marcella has a mind of her own and he isn’t going to be able to order her about to get her to do what needs to be done. He also knows that their true strength lies in them bonding and making their connecting as strong as they can otherwise the super soldiers will win and this is one fight Diego and Marcella cannot afford to lose. It is going to be a race against time if they are going to have any hope of survival.

This story takes the tale of Area 51 and runs with it. The author has built a world around Area 51 and made it her own with this one. The world building is amazing and very engaging. The action in this story is fast paced and will have the reader turning the pages just to find out what happens next and whether or not Diego and Marcella are going to make it through all the trials they are facing to find their happy ever after. The secondary character adds a great deal to the story and helps bring the story to vivid life.

Out fighting demons Micah runs into trouble and gets injured and has to find a doctor fast if he is going to make it. The last thing he expects to find is his mate. Now if only he was just a little more aware of what is going on he might be able to enjoy finding his mate at last.

Riley Johnson is a doctor for his people that just happen to be vampires. When Micah first comes into his hospital he recognizes his mate right away and if he wants to have a future with Micah, Riley is going to have to save him first. Now if he can just get Micah to realize that when Micah saw his mate he was actually looking at Riley and not someone else.

Now Micah and Riley are going to have to find a way to work through all the changes that are suddenly taking place in their lives. If Riley wants a future with Micah he is going to have to find a way to move his clinic so that Micah and Riley can be together especially with Micah being a warrior for the vampires and needing to be close to other warriors for when they are needed. That is just one of the many obstacles standing in their way but both are determined to find a way around them so that they can have the future they both so desperately want with each other.

This is a great story on vampire that has it own unique take on vampires. It is a very quick read but definitely worth reading. It is also the start of a series about the Marius brothers that will have the reader eagerly reaching for the next book in the series. The world building is fantastic and draws the reader into the story.

First he is going to have to do everything in his power to make sure that both he and Ava come out of this battle alive and then just maybe they will have the chance they need to discover just where this attraction is taking them.

With a fight against a Goddess about to take place who knows who will come out of this battle alive. Brody knows if he doesn’t succeed in stopping Enyo there is no telling what will happen to the world that he is sworn to protect. Brody is going to have to figure out real quick how to deal with the stones and Ava or else a lot of innocents will end up paying the ultimate price.

This story takes the usually myths involving the Greek Gods and Goddess and turns it on its ear. The author took this story and made a wonderful world that is a lot of fun to read about and to get lost in. There is enough of the original myths that the reader doesn’t get lost in the telling of this tale but enough new things that make is completely original and one not to miss. This is the first story in the series and will have readers clamoring for more from this author.

This is the book that led to the author’s newest book The Legend of Michael. This gives the reader a little background on the world she built around Area 51. This is a very engaging story to read and will be very hard to put down until the very end. The characters are great and so is the storyline. The story is packed with action and you are never sure exactly where it will be going next but you are never disappointed with where it ends up. The twist and turns this one takes will have the reader trying to figure out just who is who in the story and just who is behind all the problems that the characters are facing. This story show very well what happens when society becomes too dependant on technology. It also shows how when people become too dependant on technology how they can become complacent in their lives. Zania finds herself in a world that is controlled by computers and everyone has forgotten how to do the most simple of tasks. This is a good story in the insight it gives on what can happen when people depend too much on machines and not enough on each other and themselves.

Brothers Charlie, Wyatt and Ben Cantrell take one look at Anna and the only thing they want to do is protect, love and take care of her. Now the hard part is going to be to convince Anna that she has nothing to fear from them and that no matter what they will always protect her. With Wyatt being the town sheriff and Charlie being an ex-marine Anna couldn’t be in safer hands but after the abuse she has suffered Charlie, Wyatt and Ben are going to have to show her that men can also love and care for the woman that they love.

Anna is about to learn that all she thought she knew isn’t anywhere close to the truth and that she is now in the one place that she can call home and if the loan sharks come after her she has three men that will stand between her and any danger coming her way. Now she just has to learn to trust again and know that she will be safe from now on.

This is one story that will have you cheering for Anna as she finds the strength to stand on her own and overcome her past. The story is well written and the characters are well developed. This one is worth reading and will be hard to put down once the reader starts reading it.
